Dear Bryan:

When I attended the Easter Program by you and the Son Light Players, I thought that last year was just absolutely wonderful. Each year you and the group take the play to another level.

Somehow this year everything was even better for me. The show was extraordinary. When I heard you do the LORD's Prayer, and I have heard it numerous times (sung by you) but you seem to be the prayer now, instead of just singing it. I believe other people feel the same way. It was delightful to be able to hear all of your songs rendered to our spiritman and for us in the audience to realize it. I heard Moments In Time so beautifully done delighting us all. The Anchor Holds was sung with such passion. How can one just sit in his own seat and not be converted? The highlight for me was when you sang Were You There? I believe this is the first time I allowed myself to be in the audience back then. For all these years I was just in an audience. When you went up to touch and embrace the cross, I was there where and when it actually happened. This was a phenomenal thing-- to recognize that I was really there. It blew me away. Bless you for blessing us over and over again. Many people besides me, really got it. So if someone should ask me that question, "Were you there?" I would answer a resounding "yes."

Bless you for helping us to enjoy the songs of God.

Much Love
Mrs. Johnson
P.S. Sorry to be so long letting you know how wonderful everything was.
http://youtu.be/AzG4gU5cYkE

REVIEW - ROBERT STEVENSON

Review

Mr. Bryan Austin’s Rendition of Songs

(Bryan Austin aka Austin Bryant)

Reviewed By

Robert Louis Stevenson III

Mr. Bryan Austin’s performed Sunday, at 7:00 PM, March 27, 2011, at the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, 4444 Woodland Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64110; Mr. Austin was invited there as the special guest vocalist in light of the Male Chorus Annual Musical Celebration.

As I watched and listened to Mr. Austin during his performance, it reminded me of just how much raw talent of his was in the songs that he sings. His voice melds well with the background voices on the CD/DVDs, which produces a nice vocal blend. He sings powerfully, and to hear him is evidence that he is, indeed, a great vocalist. His songs are projected in a smooth fashion which is very musical to the listening audience’s pleasant. His gestures and movements are just to the point where they are highly effective.

Members of the audience were blessed with spiritual fulfillment as the result of his performance. I say additionally, you know, the obvious that he is a gifted vocalist. Mr. Austin’s singing style is enjoyable to listen to. Right away, he rendered his songs in the fashion of great melody which makes them easy to follow, and besides, which causes you wanting to sing-along. At once, you know that you are in the presence of greatness because of his effectual style of singing which takes you beyond yourself. He has good chemistry with the audience as the result of his excellent and silky arrangements; his singing is simply amazing.

He is an interesting and dynamic vocalist; he causes his audience to be deeply appreciative of the songs that he renders. Further, Mr. Austin is a most genuine and kind hearted singer. At the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, he presented a captivating presentation of “The Lord's Prayer:” “His Eye is on the Sparrow;” and “His Anchor Holds.”

Overall, Mr. Austin is known far and wide; he is a vocalist of whom I consider to be among the great vocalists of our time.

Kala Handley"
To:
"Bryan Austin"
Hey, Big Aus! I do so enjoy hearing you sing several of my favorite songs during "Moments in Time". "The Lord's Prayer" begins the production and sets the mood. When I hear you sing the prayer that Jesus taught us I really think about the words and what our Savior was trying to teach us through prayer. "The Anchor Holds" is one of the most reassuring songs ever! Your rendition stirs my soul. I feel Jesus speaking through you. I get a calming feeling knowing my God does not change. In the final moments of the production you sing "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?" I am shaken to my roots thinking about what would I do and where would I be if I were at the crucifixion of Jesus? No one hits those wonderful high notes and the deep resonant notes like you do. I thank God that you were given your extraordinary musical talent and that you share it with so many others. Blessings Kala Handley

Brother Austin,

On behalf of the SonLight Players, we wanted to once again thank you for your willingness to share your wonderful ministry of music with us as part of our programs.
Your gift of song adds so much to our drama ministry, the impact of song, scripture, and bringing Gods word to life.
We especially wanted to tell you that unanimously we felt your "Silent Night" at Concord Baptist Church was so moving. We have never heard a more pure tone, as if the Angels themselves were sharing the sounds of Heaven with us. Our words can not compare to the feeling of being there and sensing the Hand of God Almighty moving through that Church.
Of the three programs we participated in this year, I believe the greatest compliment you could receive was the heartfelt tears of joy that were shared when you sang.
May God continue to bless you, and us, as your gift is shared. Looking forward to your next CD !

With Love from your Brothers,
The SonLight Players

RADIOINDY REVIEW- CHOSEN FOR THE DREAM

Nov 13, 2008 4:23 PM
RADIOINDY REVIEWS: Just in time for the holidays, Bryan Austin has released a great collection of spiritual and holiday songs entitled "Chosen For The Dream." Bryan is a master of his craft and hails from the world of traditional gospel. His passionate vocals and enticing tracks make this compilation perfect for the upcoming holiday season. The vocal layers and performances are impressive to say the least. Whether A Capella or implanted in airy and ethereal arrangements, the voice stands on its own. The production value is also very good and you will feel great about putting this album on for a winter time gathering. One highlight is the opener "Jesus, I Love You", which not only expresses a powerful statement of faith, but gives you a convincing look at Austin's ability. He skillfully layers his vocals as the only instrument in the piece. Another great track is "Do You Hear What I Hear," which contains a standout vocal performance and will make you yearn for a snowy night by the fire. "Medley" wraps things up with one last taste of the great vocal harmonizing. If in need of some fresh Christmas music, look no further than “Chosen For The Dream.
CD Baby: BRYAN AUSTIN: Chosen For The Dream
